The wind blusters at a hundred thousand

I’m less than a thousand words away from the hundred thousand mark in my new novel, In Search of Lost Girls. Numbers maybe don’t mean much, but it is always a key moment, like climbing the last summit before you head down to the finish line.

As I near the end of the story, many things are still running wild and unpredictable, a bit like being subject to a blustering wind blowing from all directions. It’s enough to make your head turn as the characters pull you this way and that, when you are trying to weave everything together to bring the story to an end.
