In memoriam, Daniel Aeberli

We have just lost a prominent figure of Saint-Blaise and of the artistic scene of the canton and beyond, the painter Daniel Aeberli. He was well loved and will be greatly missed. With his sudden departure, we will no longer see him walking his little dog, Lula, in the streets of the village, a thoughtful air as if he contemplating his next painting. Quiet, with a soft voice, a bit shy, he was not a talkative man, but he had something to say to everyone. We will remember his many exhibitions, but especially the warm welcome during the exhibitions in his house, the walls populated by his paintings and the workbench with its easel and its rich palette of colours. Our thoughts go out to his wife, Suzanne and his family at this difficult time.
