A gallery of photos from the moving exhibition in Lausanne cathedral about Iran and its girls’ and women’s fight for their rights and freedom.
Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

I was very moved by the exhibition about Iran and the courageous girls and women who are fighting for their rights and freedom. The theme of the empowerment of girls is close to my heart and has been a key theme in almost all my novels. So it’s not so surprising that I was moved to tears by this exhibition, particularly the photos of Benoit Lange and the sensitive way they were displayed. After the long history of the Christian church oppressing women, it was heartwarming to discover these works of art on display in a cathedral. In my photos selected below, I have sought to stress the relationship between the poignant artwork and the impressiveness of the surrounding building. The exhibition continues till March 30th from 9am till 5.30pm in Lausanne Cathedral.
