There’s an intriguing story behind this image from the series of art cards. It was taken at the 1st August celebration down by the lake in Saint-Blaise where traditionally there’s a display of fireworks. That year the display was to be replaced by a swarm of drones. Everyone was eagerly staring up at the night sky trying to spot their arrival but nothing came, not even an official announcement to warn of their cancellation. The full moon itself was offering its own spectacle and I wanted to capture the sight but when I did, someone lit a firework which shot off into the sky, unknown to me, and this photo was the result.
